Alex Chengyu Fang简介：
Dr Alex Chengyu Fang obtained hisPhD degree in linguistics from University College London (UCL). He is currentlyAssociate Professor in Corpus Linguistics and Computational Linguistics at theDept of Linguistics and Translation in City University of Hong Kong. He is thefounding director of the Dialogue Systems Group (http://dsg.ctl.cityu.edu.hk) and also Adjunct Professor atthe School of Foreign Languages, Beijing Aeronautics and AstronauticsUniversity. An expert member of the Chinese delegation, InternationalOrganization for Standardization, he is also a member of the China NationalTechnical Committee for Terminology Standardization（中國全國術語標準化技術委員會）.With a research and publication track record of over 100 monographs, bookchapters, journal articles and internationally peer-reviewed conferenceproceedings, he serves as reviewer and scientific committee member of over 20major international journals and conferences in computational linguistics andlanguage engineering. His recent research interests cover the followingspecific areas: (1) identification and extraction of linguistic features,grammatical as well as syntactic, pertaining to text registers and genres, (2)identification and extraction of linguistic features pertaining tocommunicative functions of spoken utterances known as “dialogueacts”, (3)linguistic approaches to term recognition and extraction, focusing on the useof grammatical and syntactic features, and (4) voice-enabled interface toinformation retrieval.
