摘要:

DNA sequencing of the genomes of plants and animals has provided enormous benefits to the agricultural community and can be used to search for the genes within these genomes and their functions, making plants and animals healthier, more disease resistant and higher yield. In recent years, with its unprecedented throughput, scalability, and speed, next-generation sequencing (NGS) enables researchers to study biological systems at a level never before possible.RNA-seq has been widely used to study transcriptomics in the whole genomes of plants and animals. It provides a precise measurement of global gene expression levels at a specific time.

We have conducted RNA-seq analyses to investigate plant virus-host interactions. Our models are plant viruses including Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV), Hibiscus latent Singapore virus (HLSV), Turnip crinkle virus (TCV), Cymbidium mosaic virus (CymMV) and Odontoglossum ringspot virus (ORSV) and plants Arabidopsis thaliana and Nicotiana benthamiana. I will introduce our work during the seminar.
